Greenhouse Second Seminar taking place in Istanbul, Turkey


Greenhouse and the participating filmmakers will have the privilege to attend a Master Class by Hubert Sauper, Director of the renowned documentary "Darwin's Nightmare", which won the European Academy Award for best documentary in 2004 (and many other awards in festivals around the world).

Since the first seminar April 2010, the 16 filmmakers have been working on their assignments and continued together with their personal mentors and the Greenhouse team, in developing further their written proposals and trailers.

During the second seminar and in preparation for the Pitching Forum that will take place in October 2010, the participants will focus on two essential aspects of the projects' development – the treatment and the trailers.

Alan Hayling, Editorial Director Renegade Pictures (UK) will be a special expert for the second seminar, together with Greenhouse' mentor Hans Robert Eisenhauer they will give a lecture on the financing of documentaries in the international market. Following the lecture, the filmmakers will have one-on-one meetings with Alan Hayling in order to individually discuss each project.

As in the previous seminar, the filmmakers will present their projects and trailers and will receive feedback from the mentors, John Appel, Bruni Burres and Nenad Puhovski, Alan Hayling, Hans Robert Eisenhauer, Yair Lev (Head of Studies) and Sigal Yehuda (Managing Director). Will also be present Greenhouse' partners Ahmet Boyacioglu and Dorit Inbar.
